ATLANTA, Ga. (November 11, 2024) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women’s Basketball Players of the Week.

Breezy Savage (Covenant) was named Player of the Week, while teammate, Ora Hall (Covenant) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Breezy Savage, Covenant
Guard  |  Senior  |  Greeneville, Tenn.

Senior guard Breezy Savage had a strong opening week, averaging 17 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as Covenant went 1-1. Savage posted a career-high 20 points with eight rebounds in the Scots' win over Warren Wilson and added three steals across the two games.


ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Ora Hall, Covenant
Guard  |  Freshman  |  Andalusia, Ala.

Freshman Ora Hall made an immediate impact in her debut, scoring 24 points over two games (12 per game) to help Covenant to a 1-1 start. Hall’s standout performance came in her first college game, where she scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting in just 14 minutes off the bench against Warren Wilson.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
