CCS Announces 2024 Cross Country All-Conference Honors

CLINTON, Miss. – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its 2024 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country All-Conference teams and superlative award winners. Piedmont’s Walker Capelle and Skyler Seeber earned Men’s and Women’s Runner of the Year honors based on their outstanding finishes at the conference championships. Maryville’s Tyler Tangel and Megan Shinn were named Rookie of the Year for the men’s and women’s teams, respectively, following impressive performances in their debut seasons. Covenant’s Eli Kaczinski and Asbury’s Randy Crist were voted Coach of the Year by their peers for their leadership throughout the season.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
