Kylie Wilhelmi (Maryville) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball
Player of the Week, while
Zoe Coelho (Piedmont) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Ruby Walton (Maryville) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kylie Wilhelmi, Maryville
Outside Hitter | Senior | Cherry Valley, Ill.
Maryville senior outside hitter Kylie Wilhelmi powered the Scots to a 3-0 start at the Sewanee Invitational, posting 47 kills across 11 sets while hitting .333. Wilhelmi averaged 4.27 kills, 4.55 points, and 2.09 digs per set, helping Maryville earn wins over Meredith, Brevard, and Berea.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Zoe Coelho, Piedmont
Defensive Specialist/Libero | Senior | Roswell, Ga.
Piedmont senior libero Zoe Coelho anchored the Lions’ defense with an impressive showing across four matches. Coelho racked up a team-high 63 digs, averaging 5.25 per set, to lead the Lions in both total digs and digs per set for the week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Ruby Walton, Maryville
Middle Blocker | Freshman | Nashville, Tenn.
Maryville freshman middle blocker Ruby Walton made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, finishing the week with 28 kills on a .418 hitting percentage. Walton also added eight service aces while averaging 2.55 kills and 3.41 points per set to help the Scots to an unbeaten opening weekend.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
