Career-High From Dickey Pushes Huntingdon Past Piedmont On Senior Day

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Senior Day inside Roland Arena, Huntingdon Men's Basketball leaned on its depth to secure an 88-82 victory over Piedmont on Saturday night

Prior to the start of tonight's contest, Huntingdon recognized the program's 7 seniors for their contributions to the program, both off and on the court. This year's seniors are:

The Hawks placed four players in double figures and dominated the glass, finishing with a 45-24 rebounding advantage to fend off a persistent Piedmont squad that shot over 45 percent from the field.

Huntingdon got off to a slow start as Piedmont built the early advantage. Andersen Madyun was solid for the Hawks, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the field in the first half, with Skyler Stovalland Keyshawn Dickey each providing key contributions off the bench, but Huntingdon still trailed 41-36 at the break.

Huntingdon's bench played a crucial role as the Hawks outpaced the Lions 52-41 in the final 20 minutes to secure their victory. Sophomore Keyshawn Dickey delivered a game-high 25 points on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, giving the Hawks a consistent scoring presence whenever momentum began to shift.

Townsend posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Madyun added 11 points and eight boards. Skyler Stovall chipped in six points on a perfect 3-for-3 shooting performance, and Myles Murphy finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Despite a cold shooting night from beyond the arc, Huntingdon capitalized on second-chance opportunities, pulling down 17 offensive rebounds and converting at the free throw line to close out the win.

The Hawks will return to action on Tuesday, February 10th at LaGrange as they look to keep rolling. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM CT.
