CCS Network Successful Following Spring Championship Debut

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced the launch of the CCS Network, a conference-wide streaming platform designed to expand access, visibility, and storytelling opportunities for its member institutions and student-athletes.

The network debuted this past spring with exclusive coverage of the 2026 CCS Softball and Baseball Championships, marking the first time the league delivered championship broadcasts through its own dedicated platform. The launch generated strong early momentum, drawing more than 40,000 viewers and totaling 3,707 hours of viewing time. Fans averaged 50 minutes and 39 seconds per viewing session, underscoring the demand for accessible, conference-centered championship coverage.

The launch also coincided with another first for the conference, as both the CCS Softball and Baseball Championships were held at neutral sites for the first time in league history. Softball was hosted at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama, while baseball was held at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi.

As the CCS prepares to enter its fifth year of competition, the CCS Network represents another significant step in the league’s continued growth. The platform was created to provide fans, families, alumni, and campus communities with a centralized home for conference championship coverage and future video content.

The CCS Network also stands out within the region as a free-to-watch streaming platform, removing barriers for families and fans while creating new opportunities to showcase student-athletes across the conference.

“This is an exciting moment for the Collegiate Conference of the South,” said CCS Commissioner Beth Vansant. “As a young league entering only our fifth year, we have been intentional about building in ways that serve our institutions, elevate our student-athletes, and strengthen the conference experience. The response to our spring championship broadcasts confirmed what we already believed — there is a strong audience for Division III athletics in our region, and the CCS Network gives us a platform to meet that interest in a meaningful way.”

The spring championship broadcasts served as an important first step in the network’s development. Moving forward, the conference plans to continue evaluating opportunities to expand the platform, including additional championship coverage, feature storytelling, promotional content, and other conference-wide initiatives.

“Launching the CCS Network gives us a chance to think bigger about how we tell the story of our conference,” said CCS Associate Commissioner Tyler Williams-Bell. “This platform is not just about streaming games; it is about creating visibility, building community, and giving our student-athletes and institutions a place to be seen. To see more than 40,000 viewers engage with our championship coverage in the first year is incredibly encouraging, and it gives us a strong foundation to build from.”

Spiideo supported the 2026 CCS Softball Championships by providing the camera technology and live-streaming services that powered the tournament broadcasts on the CCS Network.

The CCS Network aligns with the conference’s broader commitment to innovation, access, and student-athlete promotion. By offering free championship coverage, the league aims to provide a fan-friendly viewing experience while also creating new space for institutional branding, sponsorship engagement, and long-term storytelling.

“The youth of our league gives us the opportunity to be creative and forward-thinking,” added Commissioner Vansant. “We are still building our identity, and the CCS Network is another example of how this conference continues to grow with purpose. We are proud of what this launch represents and excited about what it can become.”

More information about future CCS Network programming and expanded coverage opportunities will be announced at a later date.
