MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The LaGrange College men's soccer team won 3-0 at Huntingdon College in non-conference action against a Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) opponent and Interstate-85 rival on Wednesday evening at Samford Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Alabama. With the victory, the Panthers have started the season at 3-0 for the first time since their 2022 season, the last time they claimed the CCS regular season conference championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Panthers wasted little time in getting ahead as senior defender Dylan DePriest (Newnan, Ga.) scored his third goal of the season in just the fifth minute to put LaGrange up 1-0. Then in the 30th minute, sophomore midfielder Jacob Sagstuen (Dacula, Ga.), the reigning CCS Player of the Week, scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season to put the Panthers up 2-0 going into halftime.
- In the 62nd minute, LaGrange junior midfielder Olufunmilayo Said (Powder Springs, Ga.) scored his first goal of the season off an assist from junior forward Connor DePriest (Newnan, Ga.) to put the Panthers up 3-0 for the final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- LaGrange sophomore goalkeeper Braeden Hayes (St. Augustine, Fla.) had arguably his best performance as a Panther, saving five shots for his first career shutout.
- Huntingdon sophomore Trent Wineberg (Coosada, Ala.) finished with four stops for the Hawks.
- With four goals on the season, Sagstuen has already matched his total from 2025 through just three games.
- With three assists in three games, Connor DePriest currently leads the Panthers in that category.
