Week 1: CCS Men’s Golf Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (September 20, 2023) - Jack Hundley (Huntingdon) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Player of the Week, while Drew Silman (Covenant) earned this week’s Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jack Hundley, Huntingdon
Sophomore  |  Panama City, Fla.
 
Hundley tied for 17th place out of 89 in the Gate City Invitational last weekend. The sophomore had rounds of 75(+3), 72(+1), 72(+1) on a 71 par course.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Drew Silman, Covenant
Freshman  |  Zachary, La.
 
Silman finished 29th in his first college tournament at the Coastal Georgia Classic with a score of 7-over par. His best round of the week was his first one, which was 1-over par, 73.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Berea College, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
