CONWAY, ARK.- Wrapping up their visit to Arkansas, the Hawks made a stop in Conway for a battle with the Warriors of Hendrix College. Boosted by 17 three-pointers, Huntingdon cruised through Hendrix, claiming a 106-82 victory.
First Half
- Warming up early, the Hawks saw contributions from the likes of Nate Johns, Jaylen Washington, Martise Jackson, and BJ Brown as Huntingdon claimed a 12-2 lead by the 16:46 mark. As a part of their run, Washington, Brown, and Jackson each knocked one down from deep, as the the Hawks started off 3/4 from range.
- The Warriors pieced together a 9-4 run in response, bringing Huntingdon's lead to 16-9 by the 13:57 mark
- As Huntingdon's lead was reduced to single digits, DaQuan Hawkins and Keyshawn Dickey both found nylon from behind-the-arc to push the Hawks lead back to double-digits, 26-15 nearing the midway point in the half
- Back-to-back triples from BJ Brown extended Huntingdon's lead to as much as 34-22 before a Hendrix run put the Warriors within four, 37-33, with 5:37 remaining in the half
- Eight consecutive points by way of Jaylen Washington put Huntingdon's lead back to double-digits, 45-35, before back-to-back Warrior baskets made the score 48-41 with two minutes remaining until halftime
- A 9-0 Hawk run as the clock ticked down brought Huntingdon's halftime lead to 57-41
Second Half
- Trading baskets through the opening minutes, Hendrix hit a three-pointer of their own to make cut Huntingdon's lead to 66-54 by the 16 minute mark
- RayQuan Taylor's dunk sparked a 6-0 Huntingdon run on the other end, bringing the score to 72-54 by the 15 minute mark
- A pair of Warrior free throws cut the Hawks lead to as little as 75-60 entering the final 12 minutes
- Leading 80-68, baskets from Myles Murphy, RayQuan Taylor, and Tate Goolesby boosted Huntingdon's lead back to 88-70 by the 7:42 mark
- Back-to-back three pointers, this time from DaQuan Hawkins and Murphy, raised Huntingdon's lead back to 20, 94-74 by the 4:52 mark
- As the game drew near, the Hawks continued to pour it on, tying their season-high with 106 points as they walked away victorious
