Patrick's Career-High Highlights Men's Basketball's 74-67 Victory Over N.C. Wesleyan

DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont men's basketball roared to a 74-67 win over N.C. Wesleyan on Education Day inside Cave Arena. The Lions led by just two points with under four minutes remaining but held tough to secure the victory. 

Dylan Patrick led the Lions with 25 points, another career-high for the junior transfer who was 9-for-10 from the free throw line. 
 
The Lions were up by two in the final four minutes of play and able to shoot a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line inside the final 2:08 of play. 

Piedmont led through the majority of the first half until N.C. Wesleyan used a 14-2 run to take a 36-32 lead and held a 36-34 lead at the break. 

The Lions were able to jump back out in front thanks to a Bailey Wiseman 3-pointer with 17:18 remaining to lead 43-40. Piedmont built as much as an eight-point lead, but the Battling Bishops hung tight. 

However, Piedmont did not surrender the lead from that point as N.C. Wesleyan pulled as close as two but was kept at bay by the Lions. 
 
Up next, Piedmont will have a break before resuming play on December 14 at Brevard. 

TURNING POINT:
- The Lions converted all 10 opportunities at the free throw line in the final 2:08 of the game to close out the victory.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Patrick secured another career-high in the Green and Gold, scoring 25 points to lead all scorers. 
- Bailey Wiseman was 5-for-6 from 3-point range with 17 points. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Piedmont was 20-for-23 from the free throw line, shooting 87%.
