Davis Knight (Piedmont) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Eli Honeycutt (Covenant) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Brady Hammer (Maryville) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.

Sophomore forward Davis Knight was unstoppable for Piedmont this week, netting five goals and adding one assist to lead the Lions to a 2-1 record. Knight's breakout performance came in a 4-goal explosion against Warren Wilson. He followed up with a pivotal contribution in Piedmont's comeback win over Greenville, scoring once and assisting on another goal to help secure a Lion victory.

Junior goalkeeper Eli Honeycutt was a wall in goal for Covenant, tying his career-high with six saves in back-to-back nights as the Scots secured wins over Hampden-Sydney and No. 3 Washington and Lee. Honeycutt's stellar shot-stopping efforts anchored a 4-1 win over Hampden-Sydney and an impressive 3-0 shutout against Washington and Lee.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
