WILMORE, Ky.--- Asbury men's basketball (5-13, 1-5 CCS) finance major Cam Jones knocked down five threes to lead the Eagles to their first CCS win on Saturday night in Wilmore, Ky., at the Asbury Luce Center against Piedmont University (9-10, 2-5 CCS), 89-70.
The AU 89 points is their most in a game this season, and fourth time with more than 80 points. The Eagles also made a season-high 17 threes, one day after their previous season-high set against Belhaven with 14 three-pointers.
Jones and his junior teammate Luke Imfeld combined for 41 points, Imfeld scoring 26 points on 9-16 shooting. Imfeld, another AU finance major went 4-6 from three to be 11-15 in his last two games from distance alongside 54 total points.
Asbury sophomore guard Aden Slone dished a career-high nine assists, breaking his career-mark set the previous night at eight dishes. Slone also went 3-4 from three for 11 points and grabbed three rebounds.
AU shot their highest field goal percentage of the year at 52% shooting. The Eagles held Piedmont to the third-lowest opponent shooting percentage so far this season at 41% shooting.
The rebound battle was tied at 27-27, but Asbury forced Piedmont into 16 turnovers and scored 18 points off those giveaways. AU tied their least amount of turnovers this season with only seven giveaways.

Asbury will look to continue this momentum on Wednesday in the Luce Center on their annual Ray Shouse Game, hosting Ohio Christian University at 7 pm.
