WILMORE, Ky. -  Covenant knew what it needed to do on Saturday and that was win at Asbury to clinch the CCS Regular Season Championship. Behind a Sam Conrad hat trick, the Scots did that, defeating the Eagles 5-0 to earn the No. 1 seed in the CCS Tournament. 
Final: Covenant 5, Asbury 0
Records: Covenant (8-5-3, 5-1 CCS), Asbury (6-6-4, 0-3-3 CCS)
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
	- Jonathan Welsh put the Scots in front at the 23-minute mark, with a shot from deep that beat the Asbury goalie. 
- In the 31st minute, Conrad scored his first of the day, with a left-footed shot that found the bottom right of the goal after Welsh played him in on goal. 
- With Covenant up 2-0 at the break, it had outshot Asbury 14-3. 
- The Scots had a penalty kick opportunity in the 64th minute, after Whitt Tisdale was clipped by the Asbury keeper. 
- Welsh stepped up to take the kick and drew the keeper the wrong way to score his second goal and put Covenant up 3-0. 
- Four minutes later, Conrad put the Scots ahead 4-0 with a tap-in goal. Fox Landgren was given the assist. 
- Conrad completed his hat trick in minute 73 as Sawyer Felton delivered a cross that Lyndon Tucker passed over to Conrad, who made no mistake with his shot. 
GAME NOTES: 
	- Covenant moves to 11-3 all-time against Asbury.
- Covenant outshot Asbury 21-6 while Covenant had an 11-4 advantage in shots on goal. 
- Eli Honeycutt made two saves in the clean sheet. 
- The foul count was 16-8, Asbury, who had three yellow cards. 
- This is the third year in a row the Scots have won the CCS Regular Season Championship. 
- Covenant finished conference play 3-0 on the road with wins at Huntingdon, Belhaven, and Asbury. 
UP NEXT: Covenant starts the postseason on November 1 at Scotland Yard.
