ATLANTA, Ga. (October 28, 2025) – 
Brady Hammer (Maryville) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer 
Offensive Player of the Week, while 
Tanner Ricks (Maryville) earned 
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Sam Conrad (Covenant) was also tabbed 
Rookie of the Week.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Brady Hammer, Maryville

Maryville sophomore forward Brady Hammer played a key role in the Scots’ strong week, directly contributing to every goal scored across two matches. Hammer totaled one goal and five assists in key wins against Covenant and Huntingdon.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tanner Ricks, Maryville

Sophomore goalkeeper Tanner Ricks was outstanding between the posts, recording back-to-back shutouts to anchor Maryville’s undefeated week. Ricks faced 24 shots against conference leader Covenant, turning away nine attempts to preserve a clean sheet.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Sam Conrad, Covenant

Covenant freshman forward Sam Conrad delivered a breakout performance, recording a hat trick in the Scots’ 5–0 win over Asbury. His three-goal effort helped secure Covenant the CCS Regular Season Championship title.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
