CCS Announces 2025 Women’s Soccer Postseason Awards
ATLANTA, Ga. (October 30, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its 2025 Women’s Soccer postseason award winners, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.

Belhaven’s Emma Antonoplos and Maryville’s Elle Fair headline this year’s honorees, earning Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, respectively.

Piedmont’s Maggie Leger was voted Goalkeeper of the Year, while LaGrange freshman Gabby Worthy collected Rookie of the Year honors.

Maryville’s Jon Baker was selected as Coach of the Year after leading the Scots to another impressive campaign.

Offensive Player of the Year | Emma Antonoplos, Belhaven
A four-time all-conference selection, Emma Antonoplos capped off her senior season by entering the CCS Top 5 with 12 goals, marking her first double-digit scoring campaign. Her performance placed her among the Top 5 single-season goal scorers in CCS history and Top 10 in the league in assists (3), while also ranking Top 40 nationally in goals scored. Antonoplos accounted for more than 20 percent of Belhaven’s total offense, finishing as one of the CCS’ point leaders (27) and driving the Blazers’ attack all year long.

Defensive Player of the Year | Elle Fair, Maryville
A steady presence and vocal leader on the back line, Elle Fair becomes just the second Scot to earn this honor. The senior anchored a Maryville defense that posted seven shutouts, five of which were in conference play. Logging more than 1,200 minutes across 16 appearances (15 starts) and a two-time all-conference honoree, Fair’s composure and consistency were instrumental to the Scots’ success.

Goalkeeper of the Year | Maggie Leger, Piedmont
Returning from injury, Maggie Leger made a powerful comeback in 2025 to claim Goalkeeper of the Year honors. The senior started 11 of 14 matches and led the league with a 1.03 goals-against average, while posting a .816 save percentage. Leger made 40 saves on 102 shots faced and allowed just nine goals all season. She was a reliable last line of defense and led the Lions to a No. 3 seed going into postseason play.

Rookie of the Year | Gabby Worthy, LaGrange
Gabby Worthy wasted no time making an impression in her first collegiate season. The freshman forward led LaGrange’s attack with seven goals and two assists, totaling 16 points in 1,112 minutes of action. Worthy recorded 17 shots on goal from 32 total attempts, consistently creating chances and energizing the Panthers’ offense.

Coach of the Year | Jon Baker, Maryville
In his first season at the helm, Jon Baker guided Maryville to a 7-1 CCS record and the 2025 CCS Regular Season Championship. A longtime member of the Scots’ coaching staff, Baker has seamlessly transitioned into the head coaching role. Under his direction, Maryville continued its run of excellence: marking the fourth straight year the program has won or shared the regular season title and the third time a Maryville coach has been recognized as CCS Coach of the Year.

Maryville led the way with seven all-conference selections, followed by Covenant with six, Belhaven with five, Piedmont with four, Asbury with three, and LaGrange with one.

The 2025 CCS Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament kicks off Saturday with quarterfinal action as No. 3 Piedmont faces No. 6 LaGrange and No. 4 Covenant hosts No. 5 Asbury. The winners will advance to Tuesday’s semifinals, where No. 1 Maryville and No. 2 Belhaven await. The tournament concludes on Saturday, November 8, when the conference crown will be decided.
