Asbury Captures Second Consecutive CCS Women’s Cross Country Championship

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (October 31, 2025) – The Asbury Eagles continued their dominance on the course, claiming their second consecutive Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Cross Country Championship with an impressive team performance. The Eagles finished with 32 points, placing five runners inside the top 10 and three among the top five, to finish 10 points ahead of runner-up Covenant.

Leading the way for Asbury was Bailey Gassmann, who crossed the line in 23:28.48 to earn First Team All-Conference honors and pace the Eagles to victory. Teammates Emma Groff and Brooke O’Carroll joined her in the top seven, while Emma Le Duc and Taylor Greenwell also secured All-Conference recognition with strong finishes under 26 minutes.

Covenant finished second overall behind standout performances from Lucie Demers (second place, 23:54.02) and Sarah Olson (fifth place, 24:18.51), while Maryville’s Megan Shinn (24:15.57) and Addison Goodwin (24:43.48) rounded out the top seven as First Team All-Conference selections.
