Week 5: CCS Men’s Cross Country Runners of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (October 5, 2026) – Lucas Hollinden (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Hudson Casto (Covenant) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Lucas Hollinden, Asbury
Sophomore  |  Lexington, Ky.
 
Hollinden turned in his fastest 8K of the season at the Louisville Classic, finishing in 26:59.1 to place 23rd overall among 289 runners. His performance helped Asbury secure a ninth-place team finish in the 37-team field.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Hudson Casto, Covenant
Freshman  |  Naples, Fla.
 
Casto posted a season-best performance at the Mountain Goat Invitational, placing sixth overall among 81 runners with an 8K time of 26:49. His top 10 finish helped lead Covenant to third place in the nine-team field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
