LAGRANGE, Ga. – The LaGrange College women's volleyball team won in straight sets against visiting Huntingdon College in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) quarterfinals on Tuesday night at the Mariotti Gymnasium in LaGrange, Georgia. With the win, the Panthers advance to the CCS semifinals. It is Lagrange's first playoff win since the 2016 season, when they were a member of the USA South Athletic Conference and claimed a 3-1 win at Covenant.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After winning the first two sets, the Panthers took a 24-20 lead off a kill from LaGrange freshman outside hitter Alex Krabs (Boynton Beach, Fla.) to setup match point. The Hawks rallied, reeling off three straight points before LaGrange finally held with Krabs getting the final kill.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Krabs led the Panthers with 18 kills and a .343 kill percentage to go along with 13 digs.
- Freshman middle-blocker Kaitlyn Smith (Buckeye, Ariz.) dominated with 11 kills and a .550 kill percentage while adding two blocks.
- Sophomore setter Julia Damico (North Port, Fla.), fresh off of being voted CCS Setter of the Year, had 17 set assists, two aces and 15 digs.
UP NEXT
- LaGrange is back on the court on Friday when they travel to Asbury University for a 5:00 p.m. match against the top-seeded Eagles in the CCS semifinals.
