Scots Race Past Blazers in CCS Quarterfinals

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant started its quest to a four-peat as CCS Tournament Champions on Tuesday night against Belhaven in the Quarterfinals. The Scots got their postseason run off to a good start, sweeping the Blazers and defeating them for the third time this season.

The Scots opened the match with a commanding 10-3 run to seize early control of the first set. Covenant continued to dominate, stretching their advantage to 23-12 behind strong offensive execution. After a quick burst from Belhaven, Covenant would eventually close out the set 25-17.

The second set remained competitive early as Belhaven began to find its rhythm. However, a string of three consecutive Blazer errors allowed Covenant to pull ahead 19-14. Belhaven cut the lead to 21-18 before Covenant closed the set on a 4-0 run, highlighted by back-to-back kills from Kinsley Dupree, to take a two-set lead.

The Scots opened the final set on a strong note, building a 21-14 lead as they looked to close out the Blazers. Belhaven answered with a 5-0 run to tighten the margin and keep the pressure on. However, Covenant regained control, earning match point on an Ella Bailey kill before sealing the victory on a Belhaven service error.

The Scots were paced by Dupree, who recorded 11 kills while hitting .333 and adding eight digs. Cali Sandhoff contributed seven kills and 11 assists, while Amber Snook tallied 18 assists to help orchestrate the offense. Defensively, Sarah Jennings anchored the back row with a team-high 17 digs.

Covenant moves to 10-2 all-time against Belhaven.
