Men's Golf Ranked #1 In First Clippd National Rankings

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Following the Hawks top-3 finish at the Gate City Invitational, 5th place finish at the NCAA Preview, and tournament victory at the Tartan Invitational just yesterday, Huntingdon Men's Golf has been ranked the #1 Division III Men's Golf team in America via the Clippd National Rankings.

Clippd released their first rankings of the 2025-2026 season this afternoon, primarily basing their selections on criteria such as stroke differential and tournament finishes, utilizing a point system to weigh each team against each other as they navigate their scheduled tournaments. Per event thus far in the season, the Hawks have averaged 89.70 points, nearly two points greater than that of second place Emory University. Boasting a 48-6-0 Win-Loss-Tie record against over Division III opponents, Huntingdon snagged the top spot in the rankings for the first time in program history since the establishment of the Clippd ranking system.

Jack BurrCole Humphrey, and Stephen Baker have each played a vital role in the Hawks recognition as the top team, earning individual rankings of 7th, 13th, and 25th nationally to spearhead Huntingdon's push thus far in the season. Transfer Mat Gover also has provided a nice lift to the team, opening his tenure at Huntingdon ranked 33rd in the nation.

The Hawks look to maintain their position at the top on October 27th and 28th at the OBJ Memorial Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina.
