ATLANTA, Ga. (February 17, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Cade Morgan (Huntingdon) was named Player of the Week, while Peyton Irvin (Piedmont) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
Roby McClarnon (Covenant) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cade Morgan, Huntingdon

Senior shortstop Cade Morgan had a standout week at the plate, batting .500 (13-for-26) while driving in three runs and scoring six across six games. Morgan's consistency helped lead Huntingdon to a 3-3 record, including a series sweep over Mississippi University for Women.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Peyton Irvin, Piedmont

Peyton Irvin delivered a dominant relief performance, throwing five shutout innings in Piedmont's 3-0 extra-inning victory over No. 22 Chapman. The graduate student allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out a career-high 11 batters over 21 batters faced, playing a crucial role in the Lions' statement win.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Roby McClarnon, Covenant

Freshman shortstop Roby McClarnon made an immediate impact in Covenant's series against Greenville, batting .444 (4-for-9) with two RBI and four runs scored as the Scots took two of three games. McClarnon also recorded a .545 on-base percentage and added a stolen base in a strong all-around performance.
