ATLANTA, Ga. (February 10, 2026) - Sarah Sanabia (Piedmont) was Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Tennis
Player of the Week, while teammate,
Kaleigh Stallworth (Piedmont) earned this week’s Women’s Tennis
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
The duo was also named Women’s
Doubles Team of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sarah Sanabia, Piedmont
Sophomore | Acworth, Ga.
Sarah Sanabia delivered a strong all-around performance to help Piedmont earn a 7–0 road victory at Huntingdon in non-conference play. Competing at the No. 2 singles position, the sophomore rallied for a three-set win over Huntingdon’s Lanier, bouncing back after dropping the opening set to claim the match. Sanabia also made an impact in doubles action, teaming up at the No. 1 spot to secure a decisive 6–2 victory.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Kaleigh Stallworth, Piedmont
Freshman | Baton Rouge, La.
Freshman Kaleigh Stallworth continued her strong debut season with wins in both singles and doubles play as Piedmont posted a 7–0 sweep at Huntingdon. Stallworth earned a straight-sets victory at the No. 1 singles position, defeating Huntingdon’s Crow, 6–4, 6–3. She also paired at the top doubles spot, helping secure a 6–2 win.
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Kaleigh Stallworth/Sarah Sanabia, Piedmont
Freshman/ Sophomore | Baton Rouge, La./Acworth, Ga.
The Piedmont duo of Kaleigh Stallworth and Sarah Sanabia turned in a strong performance at the No. 1 doubles position, earning a 6–2 victory over Huntingdon’s top pairing. Their win helped set the tone early in the Lions’ 7–0 team victory.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
