FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- Covenant golf's Drew Silman earned a sixth-place finish and Carson Pruitt also landed 11th after tying a program record as the Scots placed fifth overall at the Fernandina Beach invite on Tuesday.
Silman shot a 3-over, 75 in his final round to hang inside the top six, ultimately shooting a 1-over, 217 for the tournament with nine birdies. His score of 3-under on all par-4s was second best among all players.
Pruitt had a career day in his final round, notching a season-best 5-under, 67 to climb into 11th overall individually, with a total 3-over, 219 and six birdies. That round tied the program record for lowest single round, and he notched an eagle in that final round as well.
Cole Godwin also had an eagle on the second hole in his final round to help him place 29th with a 14-over, 230. Wiley Hickerson rounded out the top four with his 18-over, 234, carding five birdies.
Toby Matson and Ayden Cordell had identical 20-over, 236 scores, while Will Sporalsky (17-over, 233) and Isaac Randolph (52-over, 268) rounded out the Scots' golfers, with Sporalsky and Randolph solely competing individually.
As a team, Covenant shot a 26-over, 890.
Shenandoah took home the team championship with their 6-under, 858, while Andy Steed of Transylvania earned the individual crown with his 12-under, 204.
