LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant played their first conference home match of the season against LaGrange. The Scots had no problem with the Panthers as they cruised to a comfortable 7-0 victory.
The Scots started strong in doubles as Maisie Tanchanpongs and Estee Verdery beat Kayla Wiley and Karla Wiley 6-1 at the top spot. Landry McKinney and Ora Hall didn't drop a game at the two spot as they beat Michaela Krajcovicova and Aireona Williams 6-0.
At number three, Katie Cummings and Christina English got the win over Abigail Fuller and Florinda Galbreath by a score of 6-2.
Tanchanpongs kept her stellar freshman season going with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over Karla Wiley. Verdery got the job done in the two spot as she defeated Krajcovicova 6-1, 6-2. McKinney was able to clinch the match for the Scots as she knocked off Kayla Wiley 6-2, 6-2 at number three.
Cummings cruised in the four slot as she defeated Williams 6-0, 6-0. English had an identical scoreline as she had no problems with Fuller, also defeating her 6-0, 6-0. Hall completed the sweep for the Scots as she beat Galbreath 6-0, 6-0.
