CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
PEARL, Miss. (April 29, 2026) - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced schedule adjustments to the 2026 CCS Baseball Championship due to inclement weather at Trustmark Park.
Heavy rain and lightning in the area have postponed the remaining opening round games. Those contests will now be played on Thursday, with a revised schedule as follows:
- 9:00 a.m. CT - No. 1 Piedmont v. No. 6 Asbury
- 12:30 p.m. CT - No. 3 Maryville v. No. 4 Huntingdon
- 4:00 p.m. CT - Loser of Game 1 v. Belhaven
- 7:30 p.m. CT - LaGrange v. Winner of Game 3
Game Five and the remaining semifinal and championship rounds remain scheduled for Friday and Saturday, respectively, weather permitting.
Tournament officials will continue to monitor conditions and make any additional adjustments as needed. Fans are encouraged to stay connected by visiting the CCS Championship central page for the latest updates and information.
All games will be streamed live on the CCS Network, offering fans the opportunity to follow the action throughout the championship at no cost.
ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
