ATLANTA, Ga. (September 21, 2026) – Cali Sandhoff (Covenant) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Henley Gentry (Covenant) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Sara Beth Gray (Asbury) was selected as Setter of the Week, alongside Lillian Gaskins (Piedmont) who was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Cali Sandhoff, Covenant
Setter/Middle Blocker  |  Senior  |  Lookout Mountain, Ga.
 
Sandhoff delivered an all-around performance during Covenant’s perfect 4-0 week, totaling 30 kills, 69 assists, 30 digs, five service aces and three blocks. She also reached a career milestone during the stretch, recording her 1,000th career assist while helping the Scots remain unbeaten on the week.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Henley Gentry, Covenant

Gentry anchored Covenant’s back row during a 4-0 week, collecting 64 digs across the Scots’ four victories. She highlighted the week with a career-high 31 digs in a win over Rhodes.
 
SETTER OF THE WEEK – Sara Beth Gray, Asbury

Gray helped direct Asbury to a 4-0 week, including a 2-0 start in CCS play, while totaling 92 assists and four service aces. Her production placed her among the conference leaders, ranking third in the CCS in both total assists and assists per set for the week.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Lillian Gaskins, Piedmont

Gaskins continued to provide production across the rotation for Piedmont, finishing the week with 57 kills, 46 digs and six service aces. She hit .204 while also contributing three blocks and two assists.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
