ATLANTA, Ga. (September 22, 2026) – Adrian Sanchez (Belhaven) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Trent Wineberg (Huntingdon) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Tyler Harkins (LaGrange) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Adrian Sanchez, Belhaven

Sanchez fueled Belhaven’s attack during a perfect 3-0 week, totaling three goals and one assist while contributing to the scoring in all three victories. He scored twice in a 3-1 win over Lyon, added an assist in a 4-2 victory against Hendrix and finished the week with seven points.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Trent Wineberg, Huntingdon

Wineberg continued a strong stretch in goal for Huntingdon, posting back-to-back shutouts during the week. He made four saves in a 4-0 win over MUW before adding four more in a scoreless draw against Warner, extending his shutout streak to three consecutive matches. Wineberg has now gone 275 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal, Huntingdon’s longest stretch since 2006.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Tyler Harkins, LaGrange

Harkins earned his first collegiate start and victory in LaGrange’s 4-1 win over U.S. Sports University on Sunday. The freshman recorded three saves in the victory as the Panthers finished the week 1-1.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
