Week 2: CCS Men’s Golfers of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (September 23, 2026) - Myles Cunningham III (Huntingdon) was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Golfer of the Week, while Porter Weeks (Covenant) earned this week’s Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
 
GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Myles Cunningham III, Huntingdon

Cunningham turned in a runner-up finish at the NCAA Division III Fall Preview, placing second among 90 golfers with an 8-under-par 205. He opened with rounds of 68 and 66 before closing with an even-par 71, helping Huntingdon finish first among 18 teams. The victory marked the Hawks’ second tournament title of the season.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Porter Weeks, Covenant
Freshman  |  Nashville, Tenn.
 
Weeks posted a top-10 finish at the Bob Jones Bruins Classic, tying for sixth among 68 golfers with a two-round total of 151. He carded rounds of 76 and 75 to finish 7-over par and help Covenant place fourth in the nine-team field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
