Mountaineers Post 15-1 CCS Regular Season Record to Earn Regular Season Title, Top Seed
ATLANTA - Berea College has earned the top seed for the upcoming 2022-23 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women's Basketball Championship. The Mountaineers finished the regular season with a mark of 23-2 overall, including 15-1 in league play.

The Championship final is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 25th and will be hosted by the highest remaining seed following the Quartefinal Round of play, which will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd.
By virtue of earning the top seed, Berea has earned a bye in the First Round of the conference championship, and will host each round in which they are competing throughout the championship. Their first game will come in the Quarterfinal Round, and will come against the winner of the First Round game between Agnes Scott College and Wesleyan College.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine members and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
