ATLANTA, Ga. (July 29, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Summer Around the CCS series continues with Aliyana Boyd-Feuerstein, a rising junior on the Piedmont University women's soccer team.

Boyd-Feuerstein spent her summer balancing multiple jobs while making time for leadership opportunities and well-earned relaxation. She worked as a retail associate at Athleta, where she has been employed since high school, while also nannying for several families in the Duluth and Woodstock, Georgia, area.

In addition to working, Boyd-Feuerstein attended the CCS Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Leadership Retreat, where she connected with student-athletes from across the conference. She also enjoyed a memorable getaway to West Palm Beach with her best friend, taking time to recharge before returning to campus.

"My favorite part of the summer was definitely my trip to the beach," Boyd-Feuerstein said. "It was my first vacation where I got to truly relax and take a break from my phone. I got some much-needed downtime and even came back with a tan."

One of the biggest lessons Boyd-Feuerstein is taking into the new academic year is embracing uncertainty.

"I learned that it's okay to not have every single moment of every day planned out," she said. "It's important to find comfort in not knowing what's coming next. I've realized it's okay to not be in control all the time."

As summer comes to a close, Boyd-Feuerstein returns to Piedmont with new experiences, fresh perspectives, and a renewed mindset heading into the 2026-27 soccer season.
