ATLANTA - Piedmont University's Abbey Grace Venham was named the 2023 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women's Tennis Player of the Year as the conference released it's regular season awards and all-sportsmanship team today. Venham helped lead the Lady Lions to the Regular Season title and the top seed in this week's CCS Women's Tennis Championship.

Joining Venham as CCS major award winners were: Covenant's Addi Gunyon who was tabbed the CCS Rookie of the Year, while Venham's coach - Piedmont's Trey Martin - was selected as the CCS Coach of the Year.

Piedmont led the way with six student-athletes honored as All-Conference selections, including four First Team honorees. Covenant was second with three All-Confence student-athletes.

The awards were selected and decided upon following a vote by the conference's head coaches.
