Week 3: CCS Women’s Soccer Players of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. (September 17, 2024) – Yousef Ismail (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Isaiah Tye (Belhaven) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
Wyatt Dupre (Belhaven) was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Yousef Ismail, Asbury
Defender  |  Senior  |  Cairo, Egypt
 
Senior defender Yousef Ismail was key for the Eagles, scoring in both of Asbury’s matches while playing all 180 minutes. The Cairo native tallied five points, including a key assist, helping lead the Eagles on both ends of the field.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Isaiah Tye, Belhaven

Sophomore defender Isaiah Tye played a pivotal role in Belhaven's 5-0 shutout victory over Berea. In addition to contributing an assist, Tye helped the Blazers' defense keep a clean sheet, securing a commanding win.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Wyatt Dupre, Belhaven

Freshman forward Wyatt Dupre celebrated a milestone this week by scoring his first career goal in Belhaven's dominant 5-0 win over Berea.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
