ATLANTA, Ga. (November 24, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its Women’s Basketball Players of the Week.
Anissa Brailsford (Agnes Scott) was named
Player of the Week, while
Anna Hellums (Asbury) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Anissa Brailsford, Agnes Scott

Agnes Scott sophomore forward Anissa Brailsford delivered a standout week for the Scotties, recording two double doubles across three games and earning All-Tournament Team honors at the Hollins Empowerment Classic. Brailsford posted a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds in the Scotties’ win over Warren Wilson and added 15 points and 10 boards earlier in the week against William Peace. For the week, she averaged 17.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 2.7 steals.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK– Anna Hellums, Asbury

Asbury freshman guard Anna Hellums turned in a well-rounded performance throughout the Eagles’ three-game week, averaging 8.7 points and 4.6 rebounds. Hellums totaled 26 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, five steals, and five blocks—highlighted by six rebounds in two separate games and a six-assist outing against Centre.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
