ATLANTA, Ga. (February 24, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Miranda Treadway (Huntingdon) was named
Player of the Week, while
Allie Roberts (Huntingdon) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Jaselyn Couch (LaGrange) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Miranda Treadway, Huntingdon

Miranda Treadway powered Huntingdon to an undefeated weekend, launching a pair of two-run home runs as the Hawks improved to 8-0 on the season. The senior catcher totaled six RBI, including a walk-off double in Sunday’s win over Rhodes. She also crossed home plate five times and maintained a perfect fielding percentage behind the plate.

Allie Roberts continued her dominant start to the season, improving to 5-0 after pitching 15 innings across multiple outings. She struck out 11 batters while allowing just six hits and one run, helping anchor Huntingdon’s pitching in a perfect weekend that included sweeps over Mount St. Joseph and Rhodes.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Jaselyn Couch, LaGrange

Freshman Jaselyn Couch played a key role in LaGrange’s offensive attack, batting .500 for the week while scoring six runs. She added three stolen bases and an RBI.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
