ATLANTA, Ga. (March 25, 2025) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its men’s track and field weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Wes Preston (Asbury) was named this week’s
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, alongside
Neal Terry (Belhaven) who collected this week’s
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Manny Dut (Asbury) was also tabbed
Men’s Track Rookie of the Week and
Caleb Cablish (Asbury) earned
Men’s Field Rookie of the Week.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Wes Preston, Asbury
Junior | Versailles, Ky.
Wes Preston delivered a standout performance at the Georgia Southern Relays, winning the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:53.39. He also secured a fourth-place finish in the 1500-meter run, clocking in at 4:19.37.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Neal Terry, Belhaven
Junior | Olive Branch, Miss.
Neal Terry took first place in the men's long jump at the Belhaven Invitational, recording an impressive mark of 7.20 meters to lead the field.
TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Manny Dut, Asbury
Freshman | Danville, Ky.
Manny Dut had a strong showing at the Georgia Southern Relays, placing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.11 seconds. He also ran 22.83 in the 200-meter dash finishing in 9th place and anchored Asbury’s 4x400-meter relay team to a second-place finish (3:27.92).
FIELD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Caleb Cablish, Asbury
Freshman | New Tapei City, Tapei
Caleb Cablish set a new Asbury school record in the javelin throw with a first-place mark of 46.66 meters at the Georgia Southern Relays. He also claimed second place in the discus throw with a distance of 36.55 meters.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
