ATLANTA, Ga. (April 21, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its men’s track and field weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Cam Bain (Covenant) was named this week’s
Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, alongside
Max Davis (Covenant) who collected this week’s
Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Roman Brown (LaGrange) was also tabbed
Men’s Track Rookie of the Week.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Cam Bain, Covenant
Freshman | Alpharetta, Ga.
Cam Bain competed in the 400m at the Mountain Laurel Open, finishing ninth in a field of 12 with a time of 55.42.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Max Davis, Covenant
Freshman | Chickamauga, Ga.
Max Davis recorded a mark of 12.05 meters (39’ 6.5”) in the shot put at the Mountain Laurel Open, placing 12th among 25 competitors.
TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Roman Brown, LaGrange
Freshman | Covington, Ga.
Roman Brown turned in a notable performance in the 400m, clocking a time of 50.17 at his most recent meet. Competing in a field of 65 runners, the freshman placed 54th, with his time currently ranking sixth in the CCS this season.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
