Piedmont and Huntingdon Selected to Compete in 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship

CCS Sends Two Teams to Nationals, Including First-Ever Automatic Qualifier

NCAA DIVISION III MEN’S GOLF REGIONAL RELEASE

ATLANTA, Ga. (May 12, 2025) - The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) will be well represented at the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, as Piedmont and Huntingdon have earned bids to this year’s national tournament.

This marks a historic moment for the CCS, as Piedmont becomes the conference’s first-ever automatic qualifier in men’s golf after winning the 2025 CCS Championship in dramatic fashion—outlasting Huntingdon in a one-hole, sudden-death playoff in late April.

The Lions are no strangers to the national stage, making their return to NCAA Championship play after a one-year break. They last competed in 2023, when they finished as national runners-up, falling just short of the title behind Carnegie Mellon.

Meanwhile, Huntingdon continues its remarkable streak of postseason appearances. The Hawks, who finished as the 2025 CCS runner-up, received one of the NCAA’s at-large bids—extending their streak to nine straight NCAA Championship appearances. In 2024, Huntingdon tied for sixth overall and closed with a strong final round of 292 (+4), tied with Washington & Lee.

The 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship will be held May 20–23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York. The 72-hole event will feature the top teams and individuals from across the country for a national title.
