GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Belhaven Baseball team fell 17-3 against No. 2 Denison on Friday in their first game of the 2025 Super Regional round.

The Blazers fell behind early against the Big Red and had to work from behind for much of the day. Belhaven did get a big hit in the 5th inning as Nick Thornton delivered a two-run single to left field and sparked some momentum for the Blazers. 

Tristan Pearson also picked up an RBI on the day with an RBI single in the 7th that plated Dathan Cummings who led off the inning with a hit-by-pitch. The Blazers will look to bounce back on Saturday in a bid to make a run to the Division III World Series.

Belhaven and Denison will open up Saturday with Game Two of the series at 10:00 AM Central where Belhaven will look to force a winner-take-all Game Three that would take place Saturday afternoon.
