ATLANTA, Ga. (July 14, 2025) – A record high, 899 student-athletes, have been named to the 2024-2025 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Academic All-Conference Team for maintaining at least a 3.30 grade point average or better throughout the 2024-25 academic year.
Student-athletes with a 3.9 or higher were considered for the President’s Honor Roll. Among them, 210 student-athletes, marked with an asterisk (*), earned placement on the Presidents’ Honor Roll by achieving a GPA of at least 3.90 or better in each semester.
“These student-athletes embody the true meaning of student-athlete, showcasing outstanding performance both in their academic pursuits and athletic endeavors,” said CCS Commissioner Beth Vansant. “Their relentless dedication to excellence in the classroom and on the field sets a remarkable example for their peers. We are proud to honor their hard work and celebrate their exceptional accomplishments. Congratulations to all the honorees on their well-deserved recognition!”
This was the third season that the CCS has honored the academic achievements of student-athletes from nine NCAA Division III member institutions across Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Honorees were selected from the conference's 14 championship sports.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
