Golfer of the Week, while
Cole Godwin (Covenant) earned this week’s Men’s Golf
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jack Burr, Huntingdon
Senior | Milton, Ga.
Huntingdon senior Jack Burr turned in a top-five finish at the NCAA Division III Fall Preview at Mission Inn, placing in a tie for fourth in a 120-player field. Burr opened with a 67 (-4) and closed with a 69 (-3), finishing the three-round event at six under par (67-73-69). His performance helped lead the Hawks to a fifth-place finish against nationally ranked competitors.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Cole Godwin, Covenant
Freshman | Austin, Texas
Covenant freshman Cole Godwin delivered a standout performance at the Bruins Golf Classic, tying for third in a 46-player field. Godwin shot rounds of 72 (E) and 77 (+5) for a two-day total of 149 (+5), finishing as the top performer for the Scots. His efforts helped pace Covenant to the team title at the event.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
