LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant played in front of the fans at Scotland Yard for the first time in the 2025 season and did not disappoint those who came out to watch. The Scots took down former CCS-foe, Berea, to earn their second win of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Berea's best chance to score all game came in the sixth minute as Peter Mensah had a point-blank header off a corner kick miss high.
- Covenant was gifted a penalty kick opportunity in the 11th minute, however the Scots' attempt at goal missed high.
- In the 22nd minute, Jackson Bostrom stole the ball on the edge of the box, leading to a golden opportunity to score, but his shot nailed the top crossbar.
- Covenant earned another penalty kick in the 29th minute as Jonathan Welsh stepped up and fired the shot into the back of the net to give his team a 1-0 lead.
- At the intermission, Covenant had outshot Berea 7-2.
- Covenant doubled its lead in the 54th minute as Henry Parker scored in the bottom left of the net off a nice pass from Ian Adams from the right side of the field.
- The Scots controlled the pace the rest of the match and had a few more opportunities in front of net, but could not cash in a third goal.
GAME NOTES:
- Covenant moves to 14-1 all-time against Berea.
- The Scots outshot the Mountaineers 18-4 and had a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal.
- Berea had three yellow cards while Covenant was assessed just one.
- Covenant had more corner kicks at 7-4.
- The foul count was very similar with Covenant committing 11 and Berea committing 10.
- Covenant has won its home opener in four consecutive seasons.
