ATLANTA, Ga. (February 16, 2026) – The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Sam Kelley (Huntingdon) was named
Player of the Week, while
Zach Barrett (Covenant) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
Masin Hall (Maryville) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Sam Kelley, Huntingdon
First Base | Junior | Brewton, Ala.
Sam Kelley powered Huntingdon through a perfect week at the plate, helping the Hawks improve to 7–0 on the season. The junior first baseman collected 10 hits while batting .476, driving in eight runs and scoring eight times during Huntingdon’s four-game stretch. Kelley tallied two doubles, two triples, and a home run during the week, while also adding a stolen base. His consistent production has helped fuel a Hawks lineup that is currently averaging 13 runs per game.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Zach Barrett, Covenant

Zach Barrett delivered a dominant outing on the mound to secure Covenant’s season-opening sweep of Greenville. The junior right-hander tossed six scoreless innings in the series finale, allowing just four hits and one walk while striking out five.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Masin Hall, Maryville
Infielder | Freshman | Mount Juliet, Tenn.
Freshman infielder Masin Hall made an immediate impact in his first collegiate appearances, turning in three strong performances over the weekend. Hall batted .500 with a 1.433 OPS and a .600 on-base percentage, scoring seven runs on six hits. He added a home run, a double, four RBI, and two walks, while crossing the plate three times in both the season opener against Hampden-Sydney and again versus Grove City.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
