Week 2: CCS Men’s Tennis Players of the Week

ATLANTA, Ga. (February 17, 2026) - Ben Moore (Asbury) was Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, while Benjamin Schneider (Maryville) was Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Week.
 
The duo Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski (Covenant) were named Men’s Doubles Team of the Week.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ben Moore, Asbury

Ben Moore delivered a standout week for Asbury, posting a perfect record in singles play across multiple lineup positions. The junior opened the week at the No. 2 spot with a straight-set victory, 6-2, 6-4. Moore then moved to the No. 1 position, where he secured two hard-fought wins in match tiebreakers. He earned a 6–3, 3–6, 10–6 victory on Friday before following with a 7-6, 5-7, 10-5 triumph on Saturday.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Benjamin Schneider, Maryville

Freshman Benjamin Schneider turned in a competitive week for Maryville, competing at the No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles positions as the Scots went 1-1 in team play. In singles action, Schneider earned a straight-set victory over Ohio Wesleyan’s Bode, 6-4, 6-4, before facing Centre’s Chase Turley in the second match. He also split doubles play alongside Jackson Meyer, picking up a 6–3 win against Ohio Wesleyan before falling to Centre. Schneider's contributions helped the Scots secure a 7–0 road victory at Ohio Wesleyan.
 
DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – Ben Onufrock/Caleb Domkowski, Covenant
Senior/Junior | Woodstock, Ga./Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.
 
Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski highlighted the week for Covenant in doubles competition. The pair earned a 6-4 victory over ETBU’s Black and Karseno, finishing the week 1–1 overall.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
