ATLANTA, Ga. (September 21, 2026) – Lucas Hollinden (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while Hudson Casto (Covenant) earned Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
 
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Lucas Hollinden, Asbury
Sophomore  |  Lexington, Ky.
 
Hollinden led Asbury at the Berea Invitational, placing ninth overall among 95 runners with an 8K time of 28:11.44. His top 10 finish earned him All-Meet honors and helped the Eagles place third as a team while securing a berth in the NCCAA postseason.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Hudson Casto, Covenant
Freshman  |  Naples, Fla.
 
Casto turned in a strong performance at the Southern Showcase, finishing 51st overall in a field of 239 runners with a time of 27:50. His effort helped Covenant secure a 10th-place team finish among 28 programs.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
