Lucas Hollinden (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Cross Country
Runner of the Week, while
Hudson Casto (Covenant) earned
Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Lucas Hollinden, Asbury
Sophomore | Lexington, Ky.
Hollinden paced Asbury at the Panther Prowl on Friday in Owensboro, Ky., placing seventh among 49 runners with a time of 16:56.21. His top 10 finish contributed six points to the Eagles' team score and helped Asbury secure a third-place finish.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Hudson Casto, Covenant
Freshman | Naples, Fla.
Casto made a strong collegiate debut at the Mountainside Stride, leading Covenant with a fourth-place individual finish in 20:23. His performance helped guide the Scots to a second-place team finish in their season opener.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
