ATLANTA, Ga. (September 29, 2026) –
Tyson Absher (Asbury) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Men’s Soccer
Offensive Player of the Week, while
Ciaran Colvin (Belhaven) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.
Tolan Beaty (Asbury) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tyson Absher, Asbury
Forward | Sophomore | Somerset, Ky.
Absher powered Asbury’s attack during a 2-0 week, totaling four goals and an assist for nine points in wins over Spalding and Piedmont. He scored on all four of his shots on goal while logging 119 minutes, helping the Eagles open CCS play with a 5-2 victory over Piedmont. Absher currently leads the CCS with eight goals and ranks first in the conference at 1.1 goals per game.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ciaran Colvin, Belhaven
Centerback | Junior | New Port Richey, Fla.
Colvin anchored Belhaven’s back line during a 2-0 week, playing all 180 minutes as the Blazers conceded just one goal across two victories. He helped preserve a clean sheet in a win over LaGrange and also contributed offensively with an assist on the equalizing goal in Belhaven’s victory over regionally ranked Rhodes.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Tolan Beaty, Asbury
Goalkeeper | Freshman | Wilmore, Ky.
Beaty earned his first career conference victory as a goalie, playing all 90 minutes in Asbury’s 5-2 win over Piedmont to open CCS play. The freshman recorded two saves in the victory and currently leads the CCS with a 1.29 goals-against average.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features seven member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, and Piedmont University) and sponsors championships across 16 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
