ATLANTA, Ga. (September 28, 2026) – Ella Sprouse (LaGrange) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week, while Kayla Robinson (Belhaven) earned Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
 
Maggie Joy Tomlin (Belhaven) was selected as Setter of the Week, alongside Laila Gauthier (Belhaven) who was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ella Sprouse, LaGrange

Sprouse powered LaGrange to a 2-0 week in CCS play with wins over Agnes Scott and Piedmont, totaling 29 kills while hitting .423 across seven sets. She averaged 4.14 kills and 3.43 digs per set while adding two service aces and four blocks. Sprouse currently ranks fourth in the CCS in kills per set.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kayla Robinson, Belhaven

Robinson anchored Belhaven’s back row during a four-match week, leading the Blazers with 97 digs and averaging 5.71 digs per set. She recorded at least 20 digs in three of the four matches and also contributed 17 assists.
 
SETTER OF THE WEEK – Maggie Joy Tomlin, Belhaven

Tomlin directed Belhaven’s offense with 129 assists across four matches, surpassing 40 assists twice during the week. She also made an impact from the service line, leading the Blazers with 15 aces, including nine in a victory over Berea.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Laila Gauthier, Belhaven

Gauthier provided steady offensive production for the Blazers, totaling 42 kills while hitting .231 across four matches. She averaged 2.47 kills per set and led the Blazers in kills in two contests, including their reverse-sweep victory over Asbury. Gauthier also added six blocks during the week.

The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year.
