MARYVILLE, Tn. - Top-seeded Maryville College claimed the first-ever CCS Men's Basketball Championship Saturday afternoon in front of a capacity crowd on their home court. Here's how the Scots claimed the 2022-23 title -
No. 1 Maryville 84, No. 2 Belhaven 74
CCS Player of the Year, Myles Rasnick added to his already-impressive resume as he added CCS Tournament Most Outstanding Player as he helped propel top-seeded Maryville to the CCS Championship. The do-everything senior finished with a game 24 points, added six rebounds and five assists in the Scots' win.
Jackson Garner added 21 for the Scots on the strength of five made three-point shots.
It's the 10th straight win overall for Maryville, and Maryville improves to 18-8 on the season and will now wait to see if they receive a berth in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The field for this year's Tournament will be announced Monday afternoon at 1pm ET at ncaa.com
