Belhaven Earns Top Seed for 2023 CCS Softball Championship as Field is Announced

ATLANTA  - Belhaven University has earned the top seed for the upcoming 2023 Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Softball Championship. The Blazers finished conference play with a record of 14-2 to earn the top seed in the championship, which will begin next week and culminate the weekend of May 5-6.

For the complete seedings and schedule of the 2023 CCS Softball Championship, please see below. The Softball Championship will feature a double-elimination tournament for all teams with the exception of the eight and nine seeds, which will compete in a play-in game. The winner of that game will advance to the double-elimination portion of the event.

The 2023 CCS Softball Championship will take place over the course of the next two weekends. In addition to Belhaven, second-seeded Huntingdon College will also serve as a host site for championship play this coming week. Belhaven will host one five-team pod with the winner emerging to the following weekend's championship series, while Huntingdon will host a four-team pod.
