Week 2: CCS Men’s Golfers of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. (October 2, 2024) - Jack Hundley (Huntingdon) was named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Golfer of the Week, while Jackson Raby (Asbury) earned this week’s Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
 

GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Jack Hundley, Huntingdon

Jack Hundley delivered an outstanding performance at the Gate City Invitational, finishing 6th out of 96 competitors. Hundley’s stellar play helped lead Huntingdon to a 4th-place team finish. His consistency across three rounds was remarkable, highlighted by a final-round 67 (-5). Hundley opened the tournament with a 68 (-4), followed by a solid 73 (+1) in the second round, before closing with his best round of the event. 
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Jackson Raby, Asbury
Freshman  |  Cincinnati, OH
 
Freshman standout Jackson Raby made a significant impact at the Stateline Shootout, helping Asbury secure a tournament victory. Raby shot an impressive five-over-par for the event, tying for second place out of 73 golfers. His standout performance included a remarkable 71 on Sunday, earning him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
