Madison Stidum (Agnes Scott) was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Women’s Volleyball
Player of the Week, while
Jahneya Reynolds (Agnes Scott) earned
Defensive Player of the Week, released by the league office on Monday.
Morgan Suggs (Huntingdon) was also tabbed
Rookie of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Madison Stidum, Agnes Scott
Outside Hitter | Sophomore | Villa Rica, GA
Madison Stidum was dynamic for the Scotties, recording double doubles in three of the team's four matches. The sophomore outside hitter's best performance came in a victory over Trinity Baptist College, where she notched an impressive 32 kills to lead Agnes Scott to their first win of the season. The Georgia native also made significant contributions on both sides of the court, adding 20 or more digs in matches against Paine and Toccoa Falls.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jahneya Reynolds, Agnes Scott

Jahneya Reynolds anchored the Scotties’ defense during a four-match opening week, amassing 69 digs for a 4.6 digs-per-set average. She also added 8 assists on the week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Morgan Suggs, Huntingdon

Morgan Suggs made an immediate impact for Huntingdon, racking up 49 kills and 70 digs over five matches. In the Hawks’ wins against MUW and Centenary (LA), Suggs shone brightest. She tallied 12 kills and 25 digs in the win over MUW, hitting .345 and averaging 8.3 digs per set. Suggs' performance helped Huntingdon to a solid 2-3 record in their opening week.

ABOUT THE COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE OF THE SOUTH (CCS)
The CCS is an NCAA Division III athletic conference that began play during the 2022-23 academic year. The conference features nine member institutions (Agnes Scott College, Asbury University, Belhaven University, Covenant College, Huntingdon College, LaGrange College, Maryville College, Piedmont University, and Wesleyan College) and sponsors championships across 14 sports. In addition to sharing the member institutions' geographic identity, the name 'Collegiate Conference of the South' is indicative of a shared commitment to academic excellence, which is commensurate with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
